Yes, it's terribly shocking. I don't know exactly what happened, but there is a post here on magicalmolly's lj which explains a little bit. She was one of the first people I knew on LJ - after you, of course! We bonded over comedy and music and stuff, and for a while we used to spend hours being silly into the small hours on IM. Yes, she was over here for a year, and I met her once, at Collectormania in Milton Keynes. She was very sweet, and ridiculously shy, and very frustrating because she took silly things so much to heart and refused to recognise acknowledge her own considerable intelligence and talent. It's very sad.
