To use a quote of Monty Python. Even numbers are good the only reason you should even consider using an uneven number is to get to an even number.

I do hope you won't open me on an uneven tab cos it is impolite and possibly life threatening to have people open on uneven tabs.
I never have anybody I like open on an uneven tab I did one time and that person tripped and chaffed his elbow. Just a little bit but still. . . .
