Just went to see Far From Heaven, which I liked a lot, and Julianne Moore was wonderful, but really...

Do people actually go to the cinema to see films any more? Or do they just go to snigger in the dark like six-year-olds? I mean - can someone tell me what on Earth is so hilarious about...

It wasn't quite as bad as when I went to see The Hours though, when everybody else in the theatre was apparently aged thirteen and watching a sex education video at school. I mean, what is it - are these people not allowed to laugh at home, so they have to come to the cinema and randomly let it all out? Am I just overreacting? I really wanted to go and knock their stupid heads together...

*takes some deep breaths*

Serves me right for going to the multiplex on a Saturday night, I suppose.
