Not everyone may be aware of this, but today is actually my Official Birthday! Yes! Well, it's either me or the Queen, I'm always getting us two mixed up.

So far I've celebrated by making carrot and coriander soup with the Evil Typist Coriander (incidentally, I've just discovered that you heathen Americans call coriander 'cilantro', which is rather odd of you, but at least now I know what cilantro is) and someone organised a rather lovely military fly-past over my garden, which was nice of them.

Later I will be knitting, watching Doctor Who and having some coconut ice cream. And trying to find things to do with the rest of the coriander. I may try drying some in the microwave, so watch out for reports of my house burning down.

Happy birthday also to kaydeefalls and congratulations to lugna_vatten and his partner, who are getting married today!

ETA: just to make it clear: it is in no way actually my birthday. I'd hate to be trading under false pretences and that.
