Interesting. Definitely rejected in the first part. In the second... maybe he does reject Dom, although in a much more subtle way. Not by saying 'I don't want you' but just by being closed off and turning in on himself. It's funny; when I'd written it I never saw it as the end of a relationship, but now when I look at it again, I can see how it can be read that way. Hmmm...
