Well done! I don't get these in emails, so that's ok. And Sheringham is near Cromer. I went camping somewhere in between the two once. Actually, come to think of it, I got my first kiss in Cromer. I remember thinking it wasn't quite what I'd been expecting. Er... yeah. *shuts up*

Cromer! First kiss! Am dying with curiosity here.

Were you perchance thinking of font faces all the while as t'kissing went on?

Who was the kisser? Age? What was ergh about it? Was there wind in your hair? Or just televisual radiation???

But hang on: you don't get any of this per email?? How do you keep track of all your posts and comments, especially those in other people's LJs??

You need to turn the email option on! Do you know where it is, dear?

You know - this is a very good point. It would be much easier, wouldn't it? Yes. Sometimes I do wonder how I actually manage to get through life at all. *sigh*

Menu bar at left: go to "Your Settings: Personal Info". Scroll all the way down. Tick "Get Message Board Replies." Scroll even further and click on 'Save Changes'.

Hey presto.

Ah. Well. Shockingly enough I wasn't kissed until I was nineteen. Although at that point I was telling everyone my first kiss happened in a French youth hostel when I was fifteen, this was just a big LIE. The Cromer kissage occurred in a pub, on some red leatherette seating. It seemed to go on rather a long time, and was quite boring once the novelty had worn off. I can't remember much about the kisser, except that he wasn't enormously attractive, and he later threatened to throw himself off Cromer pier if I didn't phone him the next day. I didn't phone him, but I never heard of any fatal accidents in the area, so I'm assuming he got over it.

*gags with excitement at this snippetish glimpse of Shelly-babe's life*

Can you write an autobiographical fic revolving around *Cromer*?????

Nineteen! You know, when I read such things I just sigh with something. I believed myself to be world's worst teenager and for everyone else to be gallivanting around, partying, kissing, having sex, having boyfriends, doing drugs, being glamour pusses - and this seemed proven by my lamentable purity test results. Heh, but I *was* fourteen when I first kissed (and then stopped for another three years) -- 'highly overrated', I thought and escaped the drunken, nameless lout who had squashed me into a bean bag at some party or other.

In Sydney, this activity was not known as 'snogging' but as 'pashing off'. Isnt' teenspeak lovely?

Oh, am also mightily intrigued with male housemate who drools over Orlando (??!). Can he be included in the auto-fic (perhaps in form of a flashforward?).

My, I'm learning so much about the Shelster today! Soon we must meet. I can feel that urge coming on.

Heheh. I fear I am underwhelming in the flesh. But now, you are giving me ideas with the autobiographical snogging fic. Hmmm. Yes. I think this could be done, and also may be cathartic for one reason or another...

I *love* autobiographic (or even pseudo-autobiographic) stories of girlish pubescent probings and first-times.

In a way, the awkwarder, the better. And Cromer is so promising as a fic-location! All the things you could evoke! And if it is truly as awful as my never-having-been-to-Cromer prejudices tell me, then you could do a wonderful job of evoking awfulness. I will lap this up!

Haha. I've now written the Cromer bit, you evil woman, and now it's leading me into strange, dark places... I'll have you know I could be writing frivolous stories about pretty actors, and instead I'm wrestling with Cromer kissage! For this I'll expect to hear about all that pashing off in Sydney when you come back from your trip, all right?

Oh god, Sydney pashing off... Remind me when I've returned! And I will boldly delve where no woman has delved before...

Oh, and don't post the Cromer fic while I'm gone!! Wait until I'm back!!!!!

Ok.
*looks at fic*
*worries about posting it anywhere, at all*

Just post it to *me*, then! Or put a huge fat LOCK on it.
