Thanks for this. Really interesting. I think you might be onto something with your theory. The thing is that when I was writing it I didn't feel I was really going anywhere, I felt as though I was churning out the same old stuff, but by the time I'd revised it several million times, I did feel as though I'd maybe moved on a bit. Which is always a good thing. It wasn't very fun to do, but whatever the result, I'm sure it was good for me.
