1. Walking miles and miles and miles omg to the post office depot place to pick up a blue glass bottle I bought off eBay in a moment of extreme randomosity. Whatever, I'll go after work one day next week. No, honestly, I will. Mm.

2. Taking over the world. Again, next week.

There's nothing else I won't do today. Nothing!

REC: Takin' Over the Asylum is coming out on DVD on June 9. Finally, finally! This is such a good series -- I loved it when it was first on't telly, and I saw it again recently and it was still fantastic -- knocks most recent TV drama into a cocked hat, frankly. Lots of people, of course, will want to watch it now for the admittedly quite adorable BABY!TENNANT (not that that's a bad reason), but it's got a whole lot more going for it than that. SO WATCH ITTTTT!!!! OMG or, you know, don't. But really, do.

BYE!

ps. try to pretend some of that actually made sense.

Stop giving me fic ideas! Honestly, just look at this list of things I'm not going to write:

Russell and Noel are the last two people on Earth. (Written quite a lot of this, stalled due to lack of knowledge of Butlins-type holiday camps)
Russell is an eccentric Victorian detective living in an attic, Matt is his long-suffering servant, Julian is a client, Noel has fallen into the clutches of evil in a opium den (thought of this ages ago, never going to write it, why won't it go away??)
John Sheppard meets Neil Hannon somewhere implausible and they hang out together looking great in suits and talking about horses. I'm thinking kidnapped at a wedding.
Danny Hargreaves from the Doctor Who special effects team, er... I dunno, is involved in torrid affair with the stunt co-ordinator? In Sylvia's pink jumper? Where exactly is this going, [livejournal.com profile] lazlet?
Archers fic. Not involving Will Grundy, unless I can write the sort of shameless character-bashing fic that all fandoms ought to have at least one of before you can call them a proper fandom. ("What's that, Spearmint? Will's fallen into the bio-digester? Oh well, never mind. At least we won't have to listen to him whinging on about the bloody kite any more.")
Oh God, I'm kind of ashamed for some reason, but... I keep finding myself shipping, not Ten/Donna, but David Tennant/Catherine Tate.
These two come courtesy of Mark Gatiss in the DVD commentary to The Lazarus Thingy (that was the title, wasn't it?):
"The Space Baftas".
"Martha sitting her theory test". That's as in, the theory test you have to pass before you get to do the Companion practical test. 'You are in pain. Do you a)...'

Also. Colin Baker said something about the Sontarans being dead butch. That needs to be an icon.

Er. I think that's it for now.

I posted a picture to [livejournal.com profile] day_on_earth. It's of the River Deben at Waldringfield, where I went and had lunch with my mum yesterday.

And this morning I went to the doctors and had my blood pressure taken; only when I rolled up my sleeve, lots of little tiny bits of freshly washed tissue fell out. Always go through your pockets and sleeves before you do the laundry, kids.

On teh bus, I have been listening to David Tennant reading The Feast of the Drowned, wot is a Doctor Who novel wot was free with the Radio Times, wot was kindly sent to me by [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana. It is lots of fun, and slightly weird because some of the time it's David Tennant reading a story, and then some of the time it's OMG, ACTUALLY THE DOCTOR HIMSELF! But perhaps that's just me.

In other news, it was my birthday, and I have had a seriously cool day. I have got a Dalek money box, and a box full of stuff, and a silky bag, and a calendar made of kites, and a new moleskine notebook, and book tokens, and and and. And I had a party with pass the parcel! I've never had a party with pass the parcel! I even won the big prize! My friends are the best, even [livejournal.com profile] dandywalker and [livejournal.com profile] galactic_jack, who abandoned me for Kylie (you can't blame them really). ;)

You may all wish me a happy birthday in the comments (you have about half an hour left, so get cracking).

For anyone who cares: the DVD I was watching that, remember, I invited you to guess? Well, you were all wrong - it was Casanova (ie. David Tennant).

I hate not having any time to do the things I want to do. Yes I know - ditto most of the human race. Also pointless because I don't have enough self-discipline to use my time well.

This journal has descended into a 50/50 mix of mindless fluff and whinging and apologising for the fluff and whinging. Maybe it was always like this, I don't know. But for some reason I'm just sort of disgusted and bored with it at the moment.

Tomorrow my job will be to answer the phone and explain that everyone else is at a funeral.

I think this computer may be on its way out.

I wish that people were not so mean-spirited. God, so what if they want to video the funeral? Yeah, it's a bit weird but whatever, you know? They are no more or less dreadful as a family now than they've always been. I hope that bleating on and finding fault all bloody afternoon made you feel really good about yourselves.

Snow. Stop it now.

Here's a tip, when you're decorating a room: don't try to paint round things. Move them.

It is possible that watching a documentary about a ferry disaster has adversely affected my mood.

OH BUGGER I forgot to make my sandwiches. [angry face]

I'm off to see the Narnia flick later with my mum (one of the saner members of my family) but I just found THIS and it's so COOL and I really just want to spend the rest of the day cataloguing all my books. *glee*

Wot? Don't look at me like that.

It hath snowed. But the sun is out now and it is all melting...

I need to get meself some sort of David Tennant icon.
