Hello. I wonder if anyone can help me with my insanity. Ahem. My esteemed friend [livejournal.com profile] lauramcewan is looking for good LOTR FPS fic, specifically Aragorn/Boromir or Aragorn/Legolas. As this isn't really my area of expertise and anyway I don't have an area of expertise I thought I'd ask my clever flist. Anyone have any recs they'd like to share?

Oh, oh, I know this! *waves frantically* For This And As Many Nights (http://secret-panel.net/forthisnight.html) by [livejournal.com profile] thejennabides, formerly known as [livejournal.com profile] jenfr. It's actually a part of a series but you'll find the details on the page. While you're there, read everything else.

FPS isn't really my thing, but the FPS section of Rugbytackling is a good place to start for A/B; a recent one that I liked was Not Today, by [livejournal.com profile] cinzia. [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector's a good writer too, but I have no specific recs there. A/L has never appealed to me, so I'm afraid I have no suggestions for that one...

Reflections of Absent Men is the only FPS in my memories...it's Boromir/Aragorn Faramir/Aragorn and PG.

Everything that [livejournal.com profile] zasjah wrote (site: Arandur Mine). She's mostly into A/B, but there's a very good A/L fic there, too. :)

well, there is my lil first-ever slash, which is Aragorn/Legolas...I know it's not Shakespeare, but I've been told it doesn't suck... :P **It's HERE**

That's posted in a community for FPS, so you might find some fics of interest over there.

[livejournal.com profile] stewardess_lotr writes some beautiful FPS...she's got a lot of fics featuring Boromir...sexy, slutty, yet often angsty beautiful stuff!!

And I second the suggestions for [livejournal.com profile] rugbytackle and [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector!!

Sorry for popping up here, but I quite like reccing some good stuff, so...

Although I am not exactly into FPS, I'd like to rec all of my friend [livejournal.com profile] menel's stories, esp. "In You Image" (A/L, but mostly L/Eldarion). Amazingly poetic writing style, detailed character descriptions, drama with humorous elements combined. Also, "The Games We Play" (A/L, L/H). The final chapter of this story will probably make you cry. One of the most beautiful descriptions of love I've ever come across. You can find her stories here (http://adultfan.nexcess.net/aff/authors.php?no=533). And if you check her LJ, take the time to read the first three 'fragments' of her "A Lover's Discourse" project (A/L) based on Roland Barthes' work.

Ciao, Schizo:-)
