They drank absinthe in Dracula (the Coppola version), it didn't seem to do anything great for them. What's it supposed to do?

me and Bela split a bottle of absinthe in Amsterdam. I did not see any green fairies, Kylie-looking or otherwise, but it was a severe drunk and the next morning I had one of the worst hangovers of my life! It was fab though - drinking absinthe had been on my life's to-do list for almost 20 years! And to go to the Van Gogh Museum the next morning was fantastic!

We didn't have very much, but that's probably a good thing, as I'd already had quite a lot of wine. Still, plenty left for another round!

It turns you into a maudlin nineteenth century artist? I don't think we had enough to get the full effect really.
