Hello!

I am back from my very, very nice holiday, but lying low. This is mainly because I can't be bothered to raise myself up from floor level, haha.

Things you can imagine I've posted about:

Not wanting to go to work tomorrow
The greatness and highness and impressiveness of cliffs
The real Trewissick!
The M5 wickerman
Jeeves is a wizard
Walking around
Writing is difficult
Too lazy to get second job or think seriously about advancing my pathetic career in any way
Being scared of cybermen when I was about eight or nine and walking down my street
Mickey and how I love Mickey because he is so fine etc
My brain's slightly scary love affair with Russell T Davies this weekend
Using this icon deliberately for once because I go to see Neil on Thursday hoorah!

Ooh, yes - one day I'll go to Wales and be a sad fangirl there too. But I have fond memories of the poor, lonely Greenwitch...

that HAS to be where Over Sea and Under Stone village is! It just has to be. Is it? Say yes! Did you see Merry there?

Yes, it is! It's called Trewissick in the books, but in real life it's Mevagissey. Didn't see Merry, sadly, but - in the (fab) museum there is an old picture of a fishing boat called the White Heather (name of the boat owned by Mr Penhallow in the books) and in the window of the Ship Inn I saw a chalkboard inscribed with the legend "Quiz Nite with Al Toms" (any relation to Captain Toms, owner of the Grey House - and therefore his ancestor Roger - I wonder?)

fanTAStic!
thanks for the info
Hope Neil points at you and mouths the word *babe!*
(Dave Gahan did that to a friend of mine and I squealed louder than the time when a huge spider dropped on my head) Gigs are great fun!

Ah, that's the stuff, all right. :)

Neil? Who's Neil?

I misread Mickey for McKay. I would.

Cornwall! I haven't been there since 1992!

I missed this weekend's Dr Who because we got caught up in watching Alien on DVD. I seem to be somewhat uncoupled from wormy-tongue Doctor. And I was very disappointed in Russell after the Queen Victoria episode. Tut, tut!

Neil, of course, is Neil Hannon from The Divine Comedy - remember you read about him as an OC in that fic I wrote? When in Rome? (See icon). Yes, and he's doing a gig in Cambridge on Thursday!

I'm still enjoying DW, these last three eps a bit more than the first two, I think.

Are you up at all for a meeting on Thurs or are you with a bunch of other people and it would be awkward? Otherwise, let us meet some other time! I think it's my turn to come to Ipswich. *g*

Won't have time, I'm afraid. I don't get back from work until 6.00, and it's going to be a case of going straight from here to there. But we'll do it soon!
