REQUEST FOR HELP:
I realise this is something of a long-shot, but does anyone want to beta/vaguely check just under 12,000 words of Historical Farm RPS?
*tumbleweed, tumbleweed*
Anyway. Two things are making me feel better about the coming-soon-ish month of December, which is my nemesis.
LIST:
1. My friend-colleague heard me moaning about December so often that he bought me a Marvel Comics chocolate advent calendar from Wilkinson's as a surprise. THIS HAS GENUINELY IMPROVED MY DECEMBER PROSPECTS AT LEAST THREEFOLD. Speaking of Marvel, I am grateful to my brain for suddenly plunging headfirst into this obsession about a year ago, because otherwise I'd be feeling really out of step with the entire Internet right now, and probably quite grumpy.
2. I'm really looking forward to Yuletide. I'm not actually doing it, and I always end up overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of fic in the end - but I love that you can read people's letters here - this is fantastic for a very nosy and slightly judgmental person like me. :D I feel quite excited now, I think I'm going to replace actual rubbish Christmas with Yuletide.
(I then continue numbering the following things, forgetting what my list was originally about):
3. I am doing NaNoWriMo again this November. I have even met other people doing it, like, outside of the Internet - they exist! This Saturday, we march on the cafes of Ipswich. (I don't mind about winning, I just want to use it to get a thing started that I've been vaguely planning since July.)
4. Look at me posting. I exist. LJ exists. DW exists. You probably exist. All is well, children.
