"I say, Homes," called Waston as he came into the parlour. "We've got another of these bally letters."

Shercock Homes looked up from his knitting. "Really, my dear, we shall have to get something done. Constantly plagued by these requests for help -- stolen jewels... missing aunts... what are we supposed to do about it, I'd like to know?"

Waston sat down next to Homes with a sigh and began absent-mindedly stroking his knee. "I'm sure I haven't an idea, Homesy. And they always spell our names so oddly, too."

"I don't suppose.." Homes looked at his beloved worriedly. "It couldn't be that these letters were not meant for us at all?"

"You mean--?"

"That somewhere, there's a Dr 'Watson' and a Mr 'Holmes', just waiting for the chance to rescue someone's kidnapped fiance. And we've been getting all their post!"

"Blimey!" said Dr Janes Waston of 212c Bacon Street. "I rather think you've hit the nail on the head, Homes darling." He looked down at the letter, shrugged, and tossed it into the fire. "Now," he said. "Let's fuck."

Reminds me of Eddie's "awesome" rant, how we overuse the word for things like hot dogs, when things like walking on the moon are really awesome.

Tony Blair should never have sided with Bush - that totally sunk him!! (I'm not anti-Blair but I am anti-Bush).

Love Sherlock Holmes - Basil Rathbone, not Peter Cushing.

Murder...not so much, unless it's Midsommer Murders or Poirot.

The English language - just don't ask me to parse anything.

Education - the state of education here is totally pants (see how I combined two into one?)

People who enjoy being miserable - seem to hang around the internet a lot to try to garner support for themselves. Get a life!!
