Re: Bloody Good.
Wow- you researched?! I'm so lazy when it comes to that.
The Fleet I came across recently- via Doctor Who. Who says popular culture isn't a learning experience?
it'll be really daring and experimental- you have a wise brain. If in doubt, smart it up- always a good idea!
Seriously, you have managed to weave this deftly. It's a style you mastered well. Maybe a little of a happy moment in there, too, but you put in the effort, and it shows.
Enjoy the accolades- truthfully well deserved!
And I love your icon- so fresh and open.
Re: Bloody Good.
Ooh, the Fleet was in the Talons of thingummy, that one, Tom Baker, yes? I haven't actually seen it, I found this out during the course of my research. Mind you, I'm sure I've learnt stuff from Doctor Who before now. I'm just not sure quite what.
And I love your icon- so fresh and open.
Thanks! I decided it was the the icon that most cheered me up, so I made it default. :)
Re: Bloody Good.
The Fleet appears in the latest audio adventure for Doctor Number 8- it's the sewer conduit of an evil alien's masterplan to enslave the popualtion of London.
As y'do.
Stuff I've learned from sci fi/ fantasy in general- quite a bit. Especially the comedy fantasists.
And hooray for cheerful icons. It does open out the image to the eye- lovely.

Re: Bloody Good.
Aha! Yes, it would be, heheh... The Talons of Weng Chiang is the other ref -- apparently, in it, the Doctor mentions that he once fished the Fleet and caught a salmon. So there you go.
