I always feel if I'm going to post here it should be organised, comprehensive and informative, and provide supporting material such as photos and links of interest. This is why I post so infrequently.

So let's forget that.

Sitting on the sofa in my dim front room, listening to the Sunday morning bell tolling at Holy Trinity Church. The sound is reminiscent of a different time and place. I sort of wish I was there, wherever there is, and equally wish I could be satisfied with here. A great sense of dissatisfaction has come upon me this week, descended out of the blue. I worry I've made all the wrong choices, or just neglected to make any choices at all.

The Archive of Our Own lists Bandom as one of my fandoms, because of that story I wrote about Neil Hannon drinking gin and tonic in Rome. I suppose technically that is a band but people looking for Bandom stuff might be a bit disappointed.

I'm working this afternoon/evening. Let us not speak of this.

I have been listening to countertenors singing Purcell duets and songs. It just makes me feel better.

I have not seen any more animals that look like David Mitchell.

I made jam. Gooseberry jam. But mainly I've been too apathetic and listless and vaguely guilt-ridden to do anything.

This post has been a little more pointless that I could have wished.

Your posts are never pointless! At least you make them, and it's always great to see your duck icon pop up on my flist. :)

Hopefully things will perk up and look more cheerful very soon. DOn't let life get you down, Duckie! x

Yes! Well, it was sort of Lotrips, but mostly about Neil. Which makes a lot of sense, I know.

Yeah, bandom does seem to have a fairly specific association to me.

The lack of further animals that look like David Mitchell is a sad statement about the universe.

I know. I don't know what we can do about this. :(

I remember that drinking in Rome fic! Oh, it was glorious! I had no idea who the characters were. I'm not logged in but am Lobelia and did you know that if you have an unpaid account (or aren't logged in) you see ads??? E.g. underneath your post there is a strip showing a photo of a beach and some thatched umbrellas and an irritating sign moving into and out of the scene with the words 'it's a perfect holiday' written on it.

I emailed people about the timetable on Friday night at 11 and again yesterday morning. I feel the pain of working beyond 5 pm.

I would have known it was you. ;)

Yes, I did know that about non-paid accounts, because up until about five minutes ago I had one. I just gave in and coughed up - I wanted to have five million icons again.

I feel your pain also - I resent having to work any hours at all.

Gooseberry jam sounds amazing.

It's always lovely to see you post.

Mmm, it was good, I had it on pancakes. Which I keep spelling 'pankakes' for some reason.

It's always lovely to see you post.

I'm glad. :)

Wait, back up a sec-- you've seen animals (plural!) previously (in the wild?) that look like David Mitchell?

Ok... it was mainly just that one dog. On the Internet.

BUT I AM ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT! CONSTANT VIGILANCE!
