LJ changed everything while I was on holiday, and I keep clicking on 'switch back to the old version' but it remains stubbornly set on 'hideous' and telling me stuff about Simon Cowell that I don't give a toss about. So what am I doing wrong?

Oh, having written that, I've just realised I wasn't logged in. Stand down, people. Put the fire-buckets back on the wall.

I *am* logged on. And still it's giving me stupid formatting on my Friends (puke puke) "feed". Oh yes, we are a "feed" now.

I don't know I'm afraid - I've just had an experiment with 'try the new version' and 'go back to the old version' but that just took me to two different versions, neither in my default style. I only got back to that by clicking the back button on my browser, so I dunno what's going on now.

TOO HOT OMG.

And bizarrely, today I had my induction for the gym membership I've taken out via work. Fortunately, the gym is air conditioned and I may end up living there if this heat continues. I wonder if they'll let me sleep over?

hi hello did you have a nice time

I went to Stirling Castle, it was full of unicorns, which was lovely. I also went to Holyrood House which was full of pictures of the Queen--less lovely. Also I got a mammoth called Jon Snow.

I hope you had a good holiday.

I had a lovely holiday, thank you! :) I went up a lighthouse. Your stuff sounds very eventful (does your mammoth know nothing?)

Southwold lighthouse:

It was very circular and it's mostly made of spiral staircase, it only has one room as such. The lighthouse keeper lived in a cottage next to the lighthouse. Then there's a ladder up to the light itself. It was great! No seals though. I could actually see the lighthouse from my bedroom window and watch the beams turning slowly over the town and the sea...

That lighthouse is so pretty! I sort of still want to live in it, even though as you've said, it would be completely impractical.

Hi, you! I'm coming very late to this post because I've been hiding offline and away from LJ, which is, indeed, hideous.

Also, I've been busy moving house. The house is nice, but moving is more hideous than LJ.

Mine does this annoying thing where two bits on either side of my forehead start curling up and looking stupid.
