Can I rec some HP Millicent/Hermione slash? Yes I think I can, as it's my jounal. ;) Seriously, it's really good. You don't believe me, do you? Well, it's true.

Errmmm... I'm bored. I mean, just generally. Bored and fed up.

And look, if by some bizarre quirk of fate you haven't read Blythely's Hermione in Wonderland fic, Curiouser and Curiouser, well then... you should. Can't get the blasted thing out of my head.

Maybe I'd feel better if I read an actual book made of real paper. Unlikely, but I could give it a go. I think I might re-read Pat Barker's Regeneration trilogy. Or not. Maybe I'll just stare at a picture of Elijah Wood for a while.
Mood:: swingin'
Music:: a particularly silent night

Now I am going to dream of Hogwarts as Wonderland. Thank you so much for destroying my mind. :-P

Oh, that's ok. It was nothing. *smiles modestly*

I loved the Regeneration trilogy. And have you read Birdsong by Sebastian Faulkes? Also excellent.

Oh yes, I loved Birdsong - made me weep buckets. I couldn't get into Charlotte Gray at all though. Don't know why.

God, I've got so many books piling up that I keep meaning to read. My laziness is getting worse... I'll add Anne Rice to the list.

Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt slash could follow!!

Right, that's it! I'm going out to find you stories, and I'm not coming back til I've found them. *rubs hands together* Yes, another one ripe for corruption, evil laughter etc

Could I add you to my friends list?

Partly because I love your journal stories and dry sense of humor and partly because your icons are cool. But mostly, I think, because before reading your journal I recoiled violently from all non-Harry-Potter slash and LotRiPS gave me hives, and then for no reason at all I clicked your link to "Holding the Pose" and Sean Bean was so Sean Bean and Orli was sweet and beautiful and you wrote their voices and their stream of consciousness so well it was like swimming naked in a warm, peaceful ocean of British.

Several months, many websites, livejournals, and lj communities, and some four hundred fics-and-ficlets later, the first fic and pairing I ever read is still my favorite. I'm going to London in August to enroll in art school, and if someone comes up to me and breathes into my ear (in perfect Kent accent), "Come back to mine, yeah?" I may just take him up on it regardless of whether he is actually a serial killer/married old pervert/ugly as sin/all of the above. *cough*

So. Please?

ps. Am also in habit of reading actual books made of real paper, and recommend Mary Renault's Fire From Heaven, since you are currently into World Leader Slash. Not sure if Alexander the Great counts as RPS though.

Oooohhh, this is a lovely, immensely cheering comment, thank you! Have been in need of cheering lately, for a number of very dull reasons, but anyway...

Thank you for saying such nice things about my journal and everything, and of course you can friend me! *considers self honoured* And thank you for the lovely, lovely feedback, too. *rolls around on floor with happiness - gets up as haven't hoovered recently* Since Holding the Pose was the first thing I wrote in this fandom, it's bizarre to think it actually lured somebody in! But I'm glad it did. :)

Oh dear - do be careful, I wouldn't want to be indirectly responsible for your untimely demise!

Mary Renault's Fire From Heaven, since you are currently into World Leader Slash.

Ooh! I haven't read this but I do own a Mary Renault book. Well, I say own... I stole it from my uncle's holiday cottage when I was about sixteen. It's called The Last of the Wine. I started reading it in secret and then I quietly stuffed it in bag before we went home because I hadn't finished it. I count this as one of the landmark moments on my personal Road to Slash. Anyway, I'll check that one out, thanks!
