Congratulations to clara_swift and Flatmate C for finishing all the work for their PGCE (teacher training) course. I know the road has been hard, and I also know that Flatmate C does not read this journal, but whatever. Yes.

As I like to do every now and again, I got a book about novel writing out of the library. It was really helpful! Exactly the right flexibility for a good fly swat. There was also a very useful chapter about how high your desk should be off the floor when writing your novel, and where to put your envelopes and paper clips when writing your novel and a debate about the pros and cons of having a filing cabinet in the room when you're writing your novel. True!

Finished reading Kavalier and Clay this morning.

It was such a big book, I was sure it would last longer. Why do good books have to end?

I'm going to bed now, because I am. But tomorrow I'm going to see lobelia321, lazulus, and ukcalico! Woo! *is excited*

Ah yes, wouldn't it be wonderful if one could just follow a few simple instructions to become the next Jane Austen. What did your book decide about the filing cabinet? My future career may hinge on this.

In fact I'm pretty sure that Ursula Le Guin is right when she says that the only way to find out if you can write is to write. Though having tried this method, I have been forced to the conclusion that I can't.

Why thank you - I have been completely rejuvanated by completion of above work, and yes, it's true...they let people like us become teachers ;oO

I can currently be found running around my town of abode like a giddy kipper...or crouched in front oy my pc reading/writing about Jedi doing VERY unJedi-like things...ho hum!
