Thanks to everyone who contributed to the fic rec request post. See how endlessly cool my flist is, [livejournal.com profile] lauramcewan? :) [/smug]

I've got a hangover. Things need cleaning and tidying and so on. Humph. Outside, the light is falling away, drenching the garden and the tops of trees and houses in indigo. In other words, it's getting dark.

Um... I have nothing to say, once again. And how are you? Tell me something interesting, or if not, then something boring.

I am wearing a spotty dressing gown from Next as I have just had a bath.

Will that do?

:)

That's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, thank you. *admires icon*

That's right! Feel the Aidan-love.

I spent all night chasing after some bloke who turned out to be mad...

You have an awesome friendslist, Shel. I thank you so very much. I must go Memories that so I don't lose it!

I have about twenty Speaking and Listening records to fill in to give to the visiting moderator. They should have been in on Thursday, but it was snow day. Then they should have been in on Friday, but I went home poorly. If they're not in tomorrow, I face a telling-off. And yet I am still looking up Hetty Wainthropp merchandise on eBay. What is wrong with this picture?

Hmm, no, can't see anything wrong with that at all. Seems perfectly reasonable behaviour to me.

But then I've spent all day recording myself reading my own fic embarrassingly badly (who knew Dom sounded like a female Alan Bennett?) instead of doing the washing up, so perhaps you shouldn't listen to me.

Today I will be watching Lost in Translation and American Splendour on dvd. And maybe eating cake.

*smooooch!*

Interesting!

The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. The judge will not be bribed with smooches, snogs or other niceties, pleasantries, lozenges or complementary lemon-scented paper towels.

Yes, when I said "judges' decision" I was actually correct. There are six of me altogether.

tapping the side of your neck can mean that you are asking someone of they want a vodka. As do displaying three middle fingers on your lapel...think: boyscout salute gone wrong. Or right...isnt that rivetting?

I LOVED Lost in Translation. Wistful. Fabulous. Wonderful. I also like cake. We could be best friends.

*notes that down*

*is duly rivetted*

I haven't seen Lost in Translation yet, but certainly looking forward to it. On the other hand, I'm quite well acquainted with cake. Also cheesecake. I stole had some earlier today.

My hangover has thankfully gone, but I haven't done any cleaning or tidying today. There are many parts of this house in need of both.

I felt like Doing Something Constructive earlier, so instead of cleaning the shelf above the washing machine that's all covered in melting drifts of three different kinds of washing powder, I signed up to Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreading project. It remains to be seen whether or not I ever do do anything constructive, but that felt vaguely like a start. Tomorrow I might clean and tidy, or I might not.

I didn't do any cleaning or tidying either. Well, not much. I didn't do any today either.

Interesting links, thanks!

Hmm... well, I've been cleaning out my closet and now have a huge stack of things to go to Goodwill, which makes me feel Very Civic-Minded but in actuality just points once again to the fact that I shop too much.

Oh, and I saw Justin Timberlake fondling Janet Jackson... definitely goes in the boring category.

Well done - clearing things out is always a good sign, I think.

I'm not sure quite why people are making such a fuss about the Justin & Janet thing. Very odd...

It's our Puritanical society problem: Blow up anything you want, show grisly death and murder, but heaven forbid if a breast should show up in primetime.
