I am a rubbish LJ-er. RUBBISH!

If everybody posted the way I do, LJ would actually collapse. It would be a pitiful ghost town, wind whistling desolately through its dusty hallways, cobwebs festooning the shadowed corners. At the end of an echoing corridor, you think you see a pale flash - a sign of life? No. Just a dirty rag, flapping to and fro in the breeze. Far in the distance, a wolf howls in despair as it realises it has received zero feedback for its really very good actually 12,000-word epic Littlest Hobo fic.

Anyway. I've also lost the ability to reply to things, apparently. So thank you, everyone who had something to say to my ideas on replacing my brain with a rockery, or the pictures of my new house. You are all so very much appreciated, I'm just a lazy arse who doesn't deserve to be responded to.

Wrt the rockery issue, I considered it, but stuck with the vital organ in the end -- I'm crap at gardening anyway. And generally, feeling much better now, so that worked out well. Yay!

My sofa should be arriving on Monday. Cripes! Hope I like it, after all this. Don't worry, I shall take pictures.

Hello everyone. Just but wanted to thank everyone who commented on my last post -- I'd like to sit here and reply to everyone now, but sadly I've got to go to work soon and won't be back till late. This is such a difficult thing to get one's head around, and you know, conflicting emotions etc blahdiblah (gosh, I'm articulate today), so thanks all for being your reasonable, decent selves. :)

Just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone who commented on my last post -- it's really lovely to have your support in times of strife. :)

Still seeing how things go at the moment and hoping for a resolution. We'll see. Mostly I'm knackered. Lack of sleep led to me forgetting the words for things like paper towels, and exploding a bottle of Coke over myself (hence necessity for paper towels). Hoping tomorrow will be better...

I did cheer up beautifully after i was taken in by kind people and fed cottage pie.

Unfortunately, today my laptop died and then I discovered that it is not really possible to put together an ikea expedit bookcase on your own after all, so perhaps I should have believed the instructions. Also, having a half put together bookcase cluttering up the kitchen is worse than a not put together one. Especially when all the stuff you moved out of the way is also cluttering up the kitchen. And you can't even ignore it and catch up on your nice US telly things because your laptop is dead. Also, you can't type properly on your delightful eee pc which you are of course grateful to have pleasedon'tdieonmetookthxbai.

So, you know, the theme continues somewhat. :(

Hello, I'm back from rainy Cheltenham with a headache. If you're ever in that neck of the woods, and you're keen on wine and/or sausages, I recommend this place. I had 'The Winchcombe', a delicious combination of pig, cider, and mustard. My friend C had their vegetarian sausage, and she said that it was (to paraphrase), like, totally awesome too.

I feel as though I ought to go to bed, but I think I'll sit here a bit longer, hoovering up all the lovely links you fine people have been littering this place with since Friday, and wondering whether I'm coming down with something.

Tomorrow -- day off work, which is good, seeing as how work continues to suck like a brand-new Dyson (mmm, more shoehorned-in hoover references. How do you shoehorn a hoover?). Going to catch up on my ironing and see 't Dark Knight with a couple of bitches I sometimes hang around with.

I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed comments to my three-word tea post. Sadly, I can't really be fucked to answer all twelve comments individually, but let it be known that all the various details, poems, noises of agreement and dissent etc, were much appreciated.

I just want to clarify that when I yelled at you, randomly and inaccurately, IT'S STILL MY BIRTHDAY, it wasn't code for SO BUY ME A PRESENT, LIKE 12 MONTHS OF EXTRA USERPICS OR SOMETHING! But you did. And Woohoooooo! 12 months of extra userpics! Heeeeeee! Do you think I could get a day off work on the grounds that I need to spend the day uploading icons? No?

You are truly the loveliest of the lovelies, and I wish it known that I am making you something, although you may not receive it for a while, and that it is not green. :) Hope you have a fab day, you deserve it.

Thirdly: I was going to be much better about remembering people's birthdays this year, but so far I haven't done exceptionally well. For instance, just this week I appear to have missed those of both msilverstar and dolores. *hangs head* Hope you both had lovely days. Anyone else I've missed so far this year? Come forward and I shall publicly flagellate myself.

Now, I must to work. Grrrr....

And I feel a bit crap because I've been enjoying everyone's happy birthday posts, and I'm really really bad at doing them myself. So I hereby vow to be better at them this year. Yes.

Oh dear. It doesn't appear to be my birthday any more. Ah well. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a post where I list all my lovely presents - that'll stretch it out a bit. :)
