Frankly, I don't think you can ever rec something too much, so here I am reccing Recall by [livejournal.com profile] sophrosyne31. Very absorbing, fascinating Lotrips AU, not to mention sexier than sex on sexy toast. I'd recommend it even if you don't read Lotrips, actually.

I had the best idea for my Yuletide story last night. I lay awake for hours thinking it through and fizzing with delight at how wonderful it was going to be and how clever I am, although I couldn't be bothered to put the light on and write any of it down. When I woke up, of course, it turned out to be a fairly mediocre idea after all, which was rather disappointing. But I should be able to drag some sort of fic out of it, with luck and a good kick up the arse.

Here's a disturbing thought I had the other night: Rupert Bear slash. Anyone? No? Ok.

Rupert, Rupert the Bear. Everyone knows his name...

It was only the other day that I was bemoaning my reckless throwing away of all my Rupert annuals!

Bill Badger was always my favourite. He just looked like such a sensible sort of chap.

As long as Mr Gruber and Paddington are left out of it, I dont mind.

No, there will be no crossovers involved. For some reason I keep thinking of a weird old goat in the Rupert annuals who used to wear these long robes and be a bit spooky. Luckily for everyone I've forgotten quite a lot of my knowledge of Rupert canon.

I was going to add Rupert to the yuletide suggestion thread, but by that stage I'd shoveled in more than 80 suggestions and figured I'd better quit.

I thought of lots more when it was too late. Mind you, I've forgotten them again now, so that's ok.

Well in that case, it's definitely time he got some! Plus, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but poor Rupert has received a football for Christmas every year since about 1928. He needs a little variety in his life.

Oh shush now. :) Seriously, your support's meant an awful lot to me, too. So there.

Ps. I'm reading Earthsea!
