Yay! And yet woe.

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] elouisa!!! The latest Lost disc has arrived, along with v. cute Christmas card and a bunch of lovely shiny LOTR card thingies. Not only are they pretty, but they smell delicious! Now I really need to set aside a day for watching Lost, as I'm starting to fall behind. Damn you, real life!!

In other damn you real life news, why why why have my friends at the old company not yet responded to my casual enquiry as to how things are going there? Didn't they realise it was merely an attempt to cover up the fact that my job is about to implode and I am therefore desparately clutching at straws? Ah, damn them, I say! Waaah, I don't want to be unemployed...

*panics*

*stops panicking cos can't be bothered*

You're very welcome :) Glad you like the cards. Topps cards are one habit I am having trouble breaking so when I get duplicates I love to share the pretty.

*hugs*

it could be time to re-jig their filing system...

Dear Ms Caesar
We, and if I may I will speak for the entire internet community, and we are a community although several among us require more care than others, as that is what a community does.....care....apart from having Chests that people land on and become beauty pageant winners or the recipient of £50, yes, we, as a community, think you are The Bee's Knees.
Yes you are, don't argue. With that in mind we urge you to make others aware of what we know to be true, that you are, but don't bear physical resemblance to, said Bee's Knees.
And with your creative talent beeseech you to apply to as many advertising, PR, TV, radio, publishing companies as possible. There just aint room under that bushel anymore.

*hugsandkisses*

As I was saying to Mr. G. Jack only this very morning I think it's very stinky of a company to take people on when the future isn't certain. It's deceitful and encourages people to leave a secure job for another one...bastards (etc, etc.)

I know I've said it before but you could do worse than to return to the book trade...we seem to be on the up here at the mo. AND there will be at least one fulltime vacancy in the offing in the spring when someone leaves to travel.

P.S. I'm sure I espied you in the distance t'other morning. Have you started to walk to work in the mornings?

Aw, well thanks for letting me know - good to know there are possibilities... although I don't think me and customers really mix.

And yes - I walk to work every day now, so that probably was me you saw.

Ah well, if you ever change your mind lerrus know.

Sometimes walking past the college of a morning makes me feel very old and frumpy.

Sometimes.

Walking past the college makes me feel like Victor Meldrew.
