What's an ice cube bag? *frowns* Do you, like, freeze the ice cubes in ice cube trays, and then put them into special bags once they're done?

Actually, now that I think about it -- it sounds a lot more convenient than my current method, which is to just bash the ice cube tray on the bench and see how many fall out (usually all of them), when all I need is one or two.

In my flat we make them in a tray, and then tip the contents into a repurposed plastic takeaway box, but that's because there are lots of us wanting ice and only one ice tray. And unsurprisingly enough the inept landlady child never remembers to refill the tray.

That is a 1977 Silver Jubilee tin that once contained writing paper. It has, however, been a receptacle for sewing bits and bobs for as long as I can remember. I half-inched it from my mum years ago on the unspoken basis that she never actually does any sewing.

lebannen's got it. :) Unfortunately, they're not quite as convenient as they could be, seeing as how I can never make them all fall to the bottom, creating a bag of ice. I just attempt to peel them out of the compartments one by one, at which point they usually shoot halfway across the kitchen and land on the floor. Ice is quite easy to clean though.

I've actually photographed three seperate archways - this one is just down from Tuesday's. The street is called Northgate Street -- the original northern entrance to the town. Actually, I'm not sure of the significance of Tuesday's gatehouse and this wall, I'll have to actually read the blue plaque one of these days.

It's point A on this medieval map, if you're really bored. ;)

Oh, the other archway (Wednesday) is a side entrance to Christchurch Park, which I walk through every day. (Point T1 on the map, when it was still Holy Trinity Priory).

The blue wool is left over from Mrs Darcy, currently blocking in the bathroom and smelling delightfully of wet dog, as wool does.

Oooh! Pretty things. I do like that Noro Lizard Ridge thing. I think I saw it in a magazine, or similar - do you use two balls at once for the contrasting wavy stripe? I'd very much like to do that too, as I sort of hoard Kureyon and it's too pretty not to use.

Then again, I have exactly no time to knit these days...

Ok, one was chocolate for me to stuff in my mouth while sitting in front of the telly (chocolate), the other was chocolate to take round to a friends house wot had invited my to dinner (chocs). It all makes sense in my brain. :)
