So, I've been soothing a slight hangover by spending some money without moving from my chair. Always a good thing. Am back in the land of paid users, hooray! Have icons, will... sit around looking at them. And while I was splashing out, thought I might as well upgrade my website package.

Does it work, huh, does it, does it, does it?

Yesterday I went to a picnic at the beach. Was fun. Assorted college lecturers, children, dogs, kites, food, drink, and dancing to some Buddhist drummers. A hippy gathering if there ever was one. I didn't dance though. It was warm but windy. Very nice. In the evening I went out dancing and saw lots of people I hadn't seen for a long time. Scarf-boy was there, although not wearing a scarf because it was very hot, and that would have been stupid. Scarf-boy is just someone I'm stalking at the moment. By stalking, of course, I mean 'running away in embarrassment whenever he comes anywhere near me'. Scarf-boy has taken over from the previous object of my affections, because my obsession with him got so bad eventually had to cross the road if I saw him coming.

Sometimes, when all the things fall into place, Objects Of Affection can become friends.

I speak from Experience.

Erm...write from Experience.

Oh for the beach parties when the boys from Wolverstone School would meet up with their suppliers from East Bergholt and Surrounds and set fire to things on the beach until it rained and Gillian's long-suffering parents would pick us up in relay from some small pub where 8 of us shared some pork scratchings and half a cider.

The halcyon days of the early 80s.

Ah me.

Framlingham here we come!!!!

Objects of affection can also become hubbies!! Shel, don't you know you're supposed to run *towards* the things that scare you? Er, um arouse you??

Scarf-boy makes me think of Orlando, who looks very nice wearing scarves, and so I would definitely run towards him.

Your Seanie icon is *thud*

You are both very wise, and I mean that sincerely. Perhaps one day I will learn to follow good advice. ;)
