On a lighter note...

...anyone who can get me a screencap of Elijah Wood in his David Beckham wig will win my undying gratitude. Well, undying-ish anyway. Ta.

Speaking of which, kinda, that fandom postcard secrets thing is fun. (like here and here). I did some for Dom and Elijah from the vampire bookshop universe thingy. They get one each. They're not particularly jaw-droppingly brilliant, but at least I feel like I've done something tonight, and that's nice, innit? Yes.

In which I ramble to no avail

I really don't want to do anything today. I particularly don't want to leave the house. I can just about cope with the idea of sitting in bed and reading my fabulous new book, The Midnight Disease, by Alice W. Flaherty, which I bought after

cruisedirector linked to a review of it, and is fascinating, and which I will probably be going on about for some time, so brace yourselves. Anyway, but yes. So I can't do that, because I have agreed to go out with my dad, to the carwash. Yes, the carwash. Well, whatever. It's nice of him to make the effort, but frankly he's madder than I am.

I made the mistake of reading some of my old diaries yesterday, which is always a bad idea.

Things what I have done recently:

Had an accidental mini Elijah film fest. Yes, we watched The Good Son and Back to the Future II. I had not seen The Good Son and frankly ( spoilers, also for The Ice Storm )

Oh well, apparently I haven't done anything else recently. Sorry about that.

Usual rubbish

I feel like someone used my brain to wash the dishes. I might dig a hole later and bury myself in it. Um. Yes. Novel currently languishes at around the 16,000 mark, which is about 6,000 words down. Was going to try and catch up today, but brain says no. Too busy being weird and freaking out about nothing, apparently. Oh, I irritate myself, I really do.

Anyway, but does anyone else think Elijah looks like Albert Steptoe in this picture? It's really quite remarkable.

a sad case indeed...

So... I watched Flipper.

Have now been labelled a 'sad case' by all and sundry. Fair enough. What disturbs me more, though, is that after this comment, there was a distinct lack of piss-taking. I think they're starting to feel sorry for me in my affliction.

Have eaten too much chocolate.
