All my news is important, because I am very important.

Article number one: I would like to point out that my first line drabble meme is the best one out of all of them, and you should all go and read the drabbles I scored and weep and rend your clothes because they were not written for you. Thank you. As a teaser, I will just say Elijah Wood/Jeremy Paxman, kind of.

Article number two: I would like to apologise for not responding to comments in a timely fashion. Job has made me crapper than usual.

*insert gap of an hour or two here*

Rest of articles (am now too tired to type): Saw Lost pilot!!! (thanks to the utterly wonderful [livejournal.com profile] sumbitch, although she is really quite evil as now have to wait for series to turn up on UK TV). Is fun! Dom is cute comedy heroin addict! Naveen Andrews is in it!

I get steamy Lotrips-type gossip at my job! Yes, Cate Blanchett was spotted buying a 'dainty stainless steel plant mister' in Brighton. Amazingly, this event was enough to fill an entire page of Brighton & Hove Life, in the guise of the 'Celebrity Shopper' feature. HAHAHAH I love magazines.

Weekend yet? Please?

A tinhat moment
In these pictures of them recording the weird album, Elijah is quite clearly wearing a Skeletor mask. Well. This is obviously a sekrit gay message! Everybody knows that Skeletor was as gay as a particularly gay goose from the Land of Gay Geese. I'm quite surprised no one picked this up, actually.

My novel
is kind of dead. This afternoon I'll have a go at resurrecting it.

In other news, basically nothing. When the New Year rolls around, I plan on giving up paranoia.

Had lunch with my parents today. Bought my dad the collected writings of Peter Cook, Tragically I was an only twin for his birthday, to go with the Spike Milligan collection I bought him for Christmas. Think he was pleased. My mum got him one of those long arm grabby things for picking things up off the floor; I think he was more pleased with that.

Was mildly devastated to realise the lunch co-incided with Sean Bean being on the radio, but luckily managed to sneak away at a reasonably convenient moment, and listen to it. Enjoyed what I could hear, under Jonathan Ross's constant yammering. I like Jonathan, but sometimes he should really just shut up. Sean talked about Macbeth, and Sheffield United, and his stuff that didn't get into TTT, and... Troy! How did I miss that he's going to be in Troy? Did I not know that? Did I forget? Did I have to cancel out that bit of information, because it was just too much for me to deal with?

My mother: Sean Bean? Wasn't he Lady Chatterly?
My father: That was the alternative version, was it...?

She then volunteered the surprising (if you know my mother) piece of information that she really enjoyed watching Smallville. Hmmm... There is definitely some kind of conspiracy going on here.

Mother: Yes, it's very good, and it's a bit like the Montagues and the Capulets, because of his father still being evil...
Me: Oh, so it's kind of like Romeo and Juliet then?
Mother: Mmm, sort of.
Mood:: well-fed
